DPI

DPI stands for “dots per inch.” It refers to how sensitive your mouse is, and the higher its DPI, the more responsive it is. It also allows you to move the cursor farther with the slightest movement of your hand. For this reason, most people prefer to have a high DPI on their mouse, especially when it comes to sniper rifles and other games that require precise and strategic movements.

Glorious Model D Software lets you adjust the X and Y axis DPI independently, as well as set the LED indicator colors. It also supports multiple DPI presets, ranging from a low to a high value. Also Read: ASUS RGB Software

While the Glorious Model D isn’t as sensitive as other mice we’ve tested, it still performs perfectly well for most applications and gaming purposes. Its DPI can be adjusted in a range of 1-6 presets, and it features a special DPI Lock mode that slows down the mouse to a specific speed for as long as you hold the button down.

For more advanced users, the Model D can be reprogrammed via the Glorious Core Software to do things like remap its buttons for media controls, open documents, or launch Windows Explorer, as well as record macros that can be saved and used on a regular basis. There are six programmable buttons on the Model D, including the main right and left clicks.

The mouse has a good grip and an ergonomic shape that’s comfortable for most users. Its right-handed shape is suitable for most grip types and hand sizes, and it connects either wirelessly or with a USB receiver.

Its buttons feature Omron styli and a dark click noise. They have a slightly lower volume than those of the Model O, but they’re still quite responsive.

In testing, the Model D performed reasonably well with shooters such as Borderlands 3 and CS: GO. Using a Corsair MM300* (cloth) as the mouse pad, we were able to track well and maneuver with great precision.

Glorious Model D Software is an easy-to-use application that makes it simple to customize your mouse. The software includes a macro editor for creating custom gaming and quality of life macros, and it lets you change your DPI, lighting, polling rate, and debounce time settings. It’s also able to save your settings for future use, so they’re available even if you reconnect the mouse to another device.

Lighting

Glorious Model D Software is an easy-to-use one-window program that offers a wide range of adjustments. All the settings can be accessed on a single page, including rebinding keys, generating macros, adjusting DPI, and customizing lighting.

There are a variety of pre-defined lighting effects for you to choose from, including “Glorious Mode” which presents a continuous color stream. You can also select “Seamless Breathing,” which cycles through all the colors seamlessly. You can adjust the speed and direction of transitions in each of these modes.

The mouse has three RGB zones: the scroll wheel and two side LED strips. Each zone can be independently controlled via the software, which also allows you to select from eight pre-defined lighting modes, such as “Glorious Mode,” “Seamless Breathing,” and “Breathing.”

Each of these modes is designed to provide unique effects with varying speeds, brightness, and colors. Some of these effects can be changed in the software, while others need to be cycled through by clicking the middle scroll wheel + forward side button+ DPI buttons simultaneously.

Aside from the lighting effects, you can also adjust the polling rate and debounce time in this program. The latter is an important feature if you like to tap quickly when registering an input. This value can be adjusted to your preferences, and defaults to 10ms but is recommended at 4ms.

With all these features, the Glorious Model D Software is a great addition to any PC gaming enthusiast’s arsenal. It is simple, uncluttered, and packed with useful functions that make it the perfect complement to any high-end gaming mouse.

The Glorious Model D is an excellent option for gamers looking to upgrade their current mouse with a premium-quality gaming peripheral. Its eye-catching RGB lighting and high-quality construction will impress anyone who picks it up, and its software is easy to use and full of features that will help you get the most out of your mouse.

Glorious has upgraded its packaging and cable design, which now features a much tighter sleeve than the previous version, but despite this, the new cable retains a great supple feel. It isn’t too heavy or prone to kinking and can be used for long periods of time without the need for replacement.

Polling Rate

The polling rate of the Glorious Model D Software can be configured to up to 1000 Hz. This is great news for gamers who want to use their mouse on a laptop as they can still maintain battery life at lower settings without sacrificing performance. However, you should remember that not all games and apps support the higher polling rates so it’s important to check before changing this value.

The Glorious Model D features a Pixart PMW-3360 sensor that is widely used by tons of esports mice these days and it provides up to 12000 DPI. You can set the DPI manually through the buttons on the mouse and also through the Glorious Model D Software app.

Glorious Model D Software is a powerful tool designed to customize your mouse settings including DPI, lighting effects, and macros. It is easy to use and offers a range of options for both beginners and experts.

With the software, you can remap the buttons on the mouse to media keys, key combos or even your own pre-recorded macros. You can also change the DPI settings of the mouse, lift-off distance, and polling rate.

To get started with the software, you simply download it from the Glorious website and click on “Add Hardware” to see your mouse and keyboard in the software. You’ll need to wait a few seconds for your hardware to be added to the program.

After that, you can choose from one of the pre-loaded profiles or create your own custom profile. Then, you’ll have access to a wide array of settings including DPI, lighting, lift-off distance, and polling speed.

The software is a breeze to use and has a minimalistic interface that’s easy on the eyes. It doesn’t have a cluttered window that takes up more space than necessary and it’s faster than most other mouse and keyboard software.

The Glorious Model D is a high-performance gaming mouse that comes with a lot of features, including adjustable DPI steps and RGB customization. It also features a Pixart PMW-3360 optical sensor, which is among the best in its class.

Debounce Time

Glorious Model D Software is a simple, uncluttered program that lets users adjust debounce time to their preference. This value is the amount of time your switches have to register an input before they can be repressed. For shooter gamers, the debounce time is crucial to maximizing click per second (CPS) and cancelling off weapon recoil.

Debounce time is an important factor for jitter clicking and drag-clicking as well. These methods of gameplay involve continuous dragging and pressing, which can sag a mouse’s switches and cause damage to the sensor over time.

The Glorious Model D Software also allows you to configure the mouse’s sensitivity and luminance, along with the X and Y-axis movement. This makes it easy to fine-tune the mouse for your preferred game.

For example, I used the Model D- as my mouse of choice for CS:GO, where fast sniping is a critical part of winning matches. I set the sensitivity to 400 CPI and found that the Pixart PMW 3360 sensor in the mouse was quite accurate at such low settings.

Despite the low sensitivity setting, the mouse was still zippy and precise when navigating around a map, especially when using flick-aiming and turning. The Omron mechanical switches for the right and left buttons and G-Skates branded PTFE feet ensure the mouse is both zippy and precise, while the simple six-button layout provides enough inputs to meet the needs of shooter players.

One of the more notable features in the Glorious Model D Software is the customizable debounce time, which defaults to 10ms but is recommended at 4ms. This feature enables you to decide how quickly you want your switches to register an input, so that you can maximize your CPS and cancel off weapon recoil.

The Glorious Model D Minus is a lightweight and ergonomic mouse that delivers on the basics of a high-end gaming mouse, all while delivering a great value for its $50 price tag. It’s an excellent option for shooter gamers and MMO fans looking for a mouse that won’t break the bank.
